Brown bears are some of the largest carnivores that exist and can communicate with each other by scratching trees, according to WWF.
There is an estimated population of 2,200 brown bears in Katmai National Park and hikers often see them when they are in the area.
The park was established in 1918 in an effort to preserve the area and is now important habitat for salmon and grizzly bears.
Mark, from North Carolina, said: “These bears are simply playing, possibly just for fun or recreation.”
“The playful behavior of many animals, especially younger ones, helps prepare them to acquire some of the skills necessary to survive.”
