Mom, 34, DROWNS after swimming in rough surf with daughter on a Sunshine Coast beach
A mother has drowned in rough surf while swimming with her daughter in Queensland.
The 34-year-old was taken out of the water by surfers at Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast on Monday morning just after 7 a.m.
The woman’s rescue workers performed CPR on the beach before emergency services, including paramedics, arrived.
Paramedics took over, but unfortunately the woman was pronounced dead on the spot.
The courier post reported that the mother was on vacation with her family from Toowoomba.
Police Sergeant Peter Blake described the death as “tragic.”
A Queensland police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia they did not consider the death suspicious.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
More to come.
