The missing mother, Heidi Planck, was officially declared dead two years after she mysteriously disappeared, official court documents show.
A judge ruled that the mother-of-one tragically died the night she disappeared on October 17, 2021, concluding a case that had baffled investigators and the public for years.
Planck, 39, had last been seen attending her 10-year-old son’s flag football game, before she was never seen or heard from again.
The cause of her death has not been announced, but it comes after years of speculation, including claims that Heidi may have died from an overdose of prescription drugs at a stripper party and crypto gambling.
The announcement of his death was first reported by the US sunafter her ex-husband Jim Wayne, 64, asked authorities to close his case so their son can receive funds from his life insurance policy.

Former husband Jim Wayne, pictured left, and Planck married in 2008 and divorced four years after the birth of their son.

The mother-of-one was last seen at her son’s soccer game in Downey, California. Security footage of her showed her walking her dog near a luxury apartment building in downtown Los Angeles less than an hour after she left the game. Her dog was later found alone on the 28th floor of the building.
After her disappearance, DailyMail.com revealed that the accountant was caught on surveillance footage walking her dog near an apartment building in downtown Los Angeles.
The dog was found just hours after it went missing.
Rumors about his last moments have swirled in the years since, after court documents revealed that he had a history of drug abuse and bizarre behavior.
A witness claimed in the months after her disappearance that she died after taking Adderall with fentanyl at a wild party of strippers and crypto gambling, prompting panicked revelers to dispose of her body.
Within weeks of her death, authorities said they found evidence in the apartment building that led them to believe she was dead.
An internet detective later revealed to The Sun that a partygoer witnessed Heidi’s death, claiming she took the drug at a party on the 40th floor.
After stopping at the building to pick up Adderall from a man she was dating at the time, the mother joined the ‘huge’ party on one of the upper floors.
“There was a big party on the 40th floor so he left his dog with a dog sitter, apparently he had done the same thing before,” the witness claimed.
“So she was at a really big party and they were gambling with cryptocurrency, there was a lot of drugs and strippers and they had brought a stripper pole and they had a DJ.”
“She didn’t take any other drugs, but they told me the Adderall was laced with fentanyl.
‘I was told that she overdosed in the middle of the dance floor, fell and broke a glass in her hand.
“A group of people tried to revive her, but they couldn’t and they got scared because there were a lot of illegal things in that apartment that night.”
The alleged witness also claimed that she stumbled across Heidi’s body after it was thrown in the trash, where it got stuck on the 28th floor.

That same day she went missing, her dog, Seven, was later found alone wandering the 28th floor of the Hope + Flower apartment building (pictured) in downtown Los Angeles, to which she had no known connection.

While the official cause of her death has not been released, the judge in the case ruled that she died at around 9 pm on October 17, after “convincing arguments” and testimony from the investigating officer in the case.
Her ex-husband’s request comes after he previously revealed a series of bizarre antics by Planck in the years leading up to his death.
She said in a statement that she once vandalized her four-year-old son’s bedroom before jumping out of a window and climbing onto the neighbors’ roofs half-naked.
That was after she told him he had to quit a Rite Aid because it was “too intense” and repeatedly tried to feed him a plate of bacon as he drove her home.
Ex-husband Jim Wayne made the statement in 2015 as part of his bid to win custody of their son.

Wayne previously revealed the heartbreaking messages his son sent Heidi in the days after she went missing.
