A Minnesota mother has been charged with allegedly torturing her nine-year-old son by sucking up his blood with needles and then flushing it down the toilet.

Jorden Borders, 32, of Crosslake, was charged on Wednesday with three counts of child torture and two counts of stalking.

Medics determined that someone had drawn blood from him, but the mother blamed the hospital. She claimed that the hospital took too much blood from her son.

However, after talking to her three children, investigators found that the siblings had watched their mother do it and were told not to say anything, according to CBS.

Her two other children were not unharmed, as their mother self-diagnosed them with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, or bone disease.

She forced neck braces and plaster casts on her children, despite them having no real injuries, it is alleged. Researchers also found that one of the children had to wear a plaster cast for two years.

Casting materials had been found in Borders’ home, according to CBS.

On her Facebook page, Borders often posted photos of her children, including one where her youngest appears to be wearing a feeding tube hooked through his nose.

In another photo, her daughter can clearly be seen wearing a neck brace with a beaming smile on her face.

And the mom posted profile pictures with nonprofit filters on them.

The kids also said Borders would “choke” them until their vision blurred, “throw them around the house,” leave them out in the cold for long periods of time, and beat them with belts, CBS reported.

One of the children also told investigators that he never had a bed.

“I was never safe,” one child reportedly said.

The mother also reportedly received up to $35,000 from nonprofits.

Borders faces up to 95 years in prison and fines of up to $145,000.

No hearing date has yet been set.
