Sarah’s Day has taken to social media to express her frustration at the collapse of online bookstore Booktopia.
Australian influencer, born Sarah Stevenson, has complained that fans who pre-ordered her cookbook Sunee Side Up have not received their copy.
Earlier this month, Booktopia was thrown into chaos when customers were told their pending orders would not be fulfilled and they would not receive a refund.
The company entered voluntary administration on July 3, just weeks after announcing it needed to cut 50 jobs to save $6 million.
Booktopia is reported to have laid off another 165 employees and stopped accepting new orders.
“You may have had a hard time purchasing my healthy cookbook called Sunee Side Up. Booktopia, which distributes my book, filed for bankruptcy,” Sarah said in a clip on Instagram.
Sarah added that the company’s collapse meant the business was no longer fulfilling orders, forcing her to sell her book on a competitive platform.
‘My books are currently frozen at Booktopia. Fortunately, we have a warehouse in the UK and US that is separate. You can still buy from there.’

The author later apologized to her fans for the delays and said she hoped the situation would be resolved in the near future.
Many of Sarah’s followers took to the comments section to share their frustration.
“I’m in France… I’m so sad I couldn’t get it,” one fan wrote, while a second person added: “This is why my books didn’t arrive!”
“What a bummer for you and everyone!” added a third person.
Sarah, who is about to welcome her third child with husband Kurt Tilse into the world, pursued a full-time career as an influencer in the early 2010s and has since risen to fame as a lifestyle and fitness vlogger.
Earlier this month, it was reported that the online bookstore, founded in 2004, had been placed into voluntary administration.

Delayed deliveries, executive departures and a weak market are believed to have contributed to the company’s downfall, Business News Australia reported.
McGrathNicol restructuring partners Keith Crawford, Matthew Caddy and Damien Pasfield are conducting an urgent assessment of the Booktopia business and will explore options for its sale or recapitalisation.
Booktopia’s sales surged during the Covid lockdowns, with people stuck at home and looking for something to do, but its revenue fell sharply when lockdowns ended and people cut back on spending as interest rates rose.
