Popular fitness influencer Jeff Nippard was allegedly attacked by another big-name bodybuilder while working out at the gym, and a viral video appears to show him being pushed to the ground.

Nippard, a natural bodybuilder renowned for his science-based approach to the sport, has been caught on video in what appears to be a confrontation with “The Great” Mike Van Wyck.

In the clip, Van Wyck appears to approach Nippard in a gym, grab him by the neck and push him to the ground.

Nippard, who has more than 3.5 million subscribers on YouTube, took to Instagram to update his followers about the conflict with Van Wyck.

The Canadian posted a photo of himself having a scan in hospital and claimed the alleged assault continued after the clip ended.

“If you have already seen the video, I want to clarify the incident,” Nippard wrote.

‘First, I just want to let you know that I had a CT scan and I’m fine.

‘In case you haven’t seen it, this is exactly what happened and there were many witnesses.

‘Mike Van Wyck punched me in the throat twice in the middle of the gym and then pushed my cameraman.

‘There’s already a lie out there that Mike asked me to stay away from him, and that I didn’t listen and approach him first. This is FALSE and @puremuscleandfitness has security footage to prove it. I think they should release him.’

Nippard went on to thank the fitness community for the outpouring of support he has received.

“I don’t know why he attacked me other than he really hates my training style,” he wrote.

‘I certainly didn’t give him any reason to hate me. And even if you did, there’s no excuse for physically attacking someone over a disagreement.

Nippard, who was examined in hospital after the alleged attack (pictured), says he has not given Van Wyck any reason to hate him.

‘My opinion is that it was a result of anger provoked by the clip I posted yesterday answering your question about science-based training. Something pretty wild.
