Doja Cat is known for pushing the envelope as an artist and Guram Gvasalia has been known for the same in the fashion world, so it was only natural that the two would join forces on fashion’s biggest night.
The 28-year-old rapper, born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, donned a towel while boldly sporting fresh-out-of-the-shower couture on her way to the star-studded Met Gala in New York City on Monday.
She was accompanied on the red carpet by the creative director of Vetements and brother of the creative director of Balenciaga, Demna Gvasalia, known for revolutionizing the world of fashion and this latest look was no exception.
She sported what looked like a white towel mini dress wrapped around her body from the Swiss luxury fashion house and ‘design collective’.
Her hair was wrapped in a cap that looked like a white towel that matched her dress.

The hitmaker definitely has an affinity for the dramatic, as she sported shiny black eye makeup that looked like mascara running down her face.
She accessorized it with a large diamond-encrusted necklace and dangling gold earrings.
Guram looked fashionable in a loose-fitting black suit with shiny silver details.
Continuing with the shower look, Doja donned a different outfit as she left her hotel earlier in the evening.
She sported a sheer poncho, which looked like a shower curtain and/or a puffy hat, over a nude catsuit.
No doubt, many believed that this would actually be her Met look, but she changed it in time for the star-studded event.
The Costume Institute’s Spring Exhibition is held on the first Monday in May each year and is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth are this year’s co-chairs. Also on the committee is Vogue Anna Wintour.
Honorary chairs for the evening are Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew.
“This year’s co-chairs reflect a variety of professional accomplishments and all have distinct style stories with the Met Gala,” Vogue shared.
The exhibit will feature approximately 250 items drawn from The Costume Institute’s permanent collection, and many of the pieces are too fragile to be worn again.
All pieces will be displayed using elements such as AI, GCI and more while playing land, sea and sky themes.
“It’s very much an ode to nature and the emotional poetics of fashion,” Andrew Bolton, Wendy Yu curator in charge of the Costume Institute, said of the upcoming exhibition.

Last year’s gala paid tribute to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld, with Jared Leto dressed as Choupette, the Chanel icon’s beloved cat (pictured).
“One thing I hope this exhibition activates is that sensory appreciation of fashion.”
Guests expected to attend include the Kardashians, Blake Lively, Hailey Bieber, Sarah Jessica Parker and Timothee Chalamet.
Gwendoline Christie, La La Anthony and Ashley Graham will host, while YouTuber Emma Chamberlain is expected to interview the stars on the red carpet.
