Meghan Markle has come under fire once again, this time accused of delivering what one royal commentator describes as a “masterclass in gaslighting.” Royal expert Kinsey Schofield made these claims in a candid video on her personal YouTube channel, where she criticized the Duchess of Sussex’s recent actions.

Schofield’s comments focus on Meghan’s recent appearance on Girls Inc., where the duchess discussed her experiences with bullying. During the event, Meghan reportedly spoke to the children about being one of the most bullied people in the world. Larissa May, founder of #HalfTheStory, shared details about Meghan’s conversation with vanity fair, explaining that Meghan had encouraged the young women to reflect on how different emotional scenarios, represented by emoji signs, would affect them.

In Schofield’s eyes, Meghan’s comments seemed particularly tone-deaf, given her own history of bullying allegations. “Many will consider that Meghan refers to herself as the most harassed person in the world and at the same time is the target of a harassment investigation by Buckingham Palace or a hollywood reporter research, a master class in gaslighting,” Schofield said.

Schofield went on to suggest that by focusing on the issue of harassment, Meghan is inadvertently drawing more attention to the allegations against her. “By continuing to draw attention to the concept of harassment, you are only bringing more attention to your own harassment allegations,” Schofield added before concluding his video.

These allegations against Meghan come at a time when Prince Harry has been making headlines with his solo appearances in the United States, the United Kingdom and South Africa, further fueling speculation about the couple’s evolving public image. While Harry’s solo outings have drawn attention, Meghan’s recent engagements have drawn criticism, with some commentators questioning her authenticity and her approach to sensitive topics such as bullying.

Harassment accusations against Meghan date back to her time as an active royal. In March 2021, Buckingham Palace launched an investigation after staff members accused her of creating a toxic work environment. Meghan has consistently denied these allegations, calling them part of a smear campaign. Despite this, controversy continues to dog her, particularly when she speaks out on issues related to bullying and mental health.

Schofield’s harsh criticism underscores the challenges Meghan faces as she navigates public life post-royalty. While some praise her for tackling difficult topics, others remain skeptical and interpret her actions through a more critical lens. The continued allegations of bullying, combined with his public comments, create a complex and controversial narrative that continues to evolve.
