Meghan Markle has sparked curiosity among royal watchers, particularly one expert who questions whether the overwhelming praise for her and Prince Harry is genuine or exaggerated. Royal commentator Jan Moir recently shared her thoughts on the outpouring of support for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, comparing it to the “growing hysteria of someone chained to a radiator in the basement of Archewell Towers, hoping to get home for Christmas.” ”. .”
Moir’s comment appeared in a recent daily mail article, where he expressed skepticism about glowing comments made by current and former employees of the Sussexes. He humorously noted that the avalanche of positive statements seemed almost too good to be true.
“Like cavalry galloping to the rescue of their wounded leaders, current and former employees of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex rushed to posts this week to glorify their bosses,” Moir wrote. His comments came in response to an article published by Us weeklyin which staff members praised Prince Harry and Meghan.
In that article, staffers described Harry as a “great guy, no airs and graces, just a normal guy,” while Meghan was praised as “completely wonderful.” The glowing praise painted a picture of an ideal workplace, with Markle portrayed as thoughtful, kind and even a master of gourmet snacks.
However, Moir found the effusive praise difficult to swallow and commented: “Pass me that halo and let the light of her duchess love shine. Because she was kind and considerate. “He made great gourmet sandwiches.” The tone of the praise led Moir to question the dynamic between the Sussexes and their staff, suggesting it felt more complex than typical employer-employee relationships.
“As Sussex staff detailed the positives for posterity, it was difficult to determine the true nature of their relationship with their bosses.” moiré continued. “Lawyer-client, doctor-patient, jailer-prisoner, star-civilian, duchess-servant?”
His comment ultimately raised the question: Was the staff members’ outpouring of affection sincere or did it reflect an exaggerated loyalty that bordered on hysteria? Moir wondered if the workers’ praise was reminiscent of someone desperately trying to curry favor: “Was it my imagination, or were the outpourings of these unmanned workers reminiscent of the growing hysteria of someone chained to a radiator in the basement of Archewell Towers, waiting to come home for Christmas?
As speculation continues about the Sussexes’ work environment, Moir’s comments add another layer to the ongoing public conversation about the couple’s relationship with their staff and the inner workings of Archewell.
The difficult duchess and the enabling prince? It sounds like a terrible Harry Potter novel https://t.co/P6D5EzZIyU
