The sporting pair became an official item in early 2024 and have been teammates at Arsenal since 2020.
The couple were at the center of a love triangle at the 2023 FIFA World Cup Australia.
Rumors about the Arsenal teammates’ relationship had circulated since a fiery love triangle emerged at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023.
The romance is rumored to have started after McCabe broke up his long-term relationship with international teammate Ruesha Littlejohn just before the World Cup.
That led to reports that McCabe and Foord were a couple, but they remained tight-lipped as pictures or videos of them together occasionally surfaced.
Littlejohn made her feelings very clear, and her Irish teammates had to physically restrain her after she aggressively approached Foord at the end of their World Cup clash.
As the players high-fived each other, Littlejohn ignored Foord completely.
Foord had also recently become single after splitting from Swiss midfielder and Arsenal teammate Lia Walti, adding weight to the rumours.
Littlejohn and McCabe began seeing each other around 2016, with their first date taking place in St Albans. They made their relationship public three years later.
“It all started with football. “She’s a few years older than me,” McCabe said.
“I first met her through football and we became good friends. “We started spending a lot more time together off the field and it all started from there.”

McCabe said their shared love of football brought them together.
“We are both passionate about it, obviously our aim is to win trophies and qualify for championships with the Republic of Ireland,” he added. “We are both very motivated.
“Don’t get me wrong, we have faced each other a few times in certain matches and training sessions, but that is an integral part of the game. We are very professional when we play football, that is our main objective.
“We’ll be able to relax when we get back home.”
Foord previously declined to comment on the dispute and there is no suggestion she was involved in the breakdown of Littlejohn and McCabe’s relationship.
