Married At First Sight’s Lauren Dunn reveals what she really thinks about Eden Harper after she threw her best friend Sara Mesa under the bus for ‘cheating’ with ex

Married at First Sight bride Lauren Dunn has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Sara Mesa’s encounter with her ex-boyfriend and how it affected their mutual friend Eden Harper.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the Perth-based PR maven, 32, didn’t hold back on his thoughts on the matter.

“I knew about Sara’s meeting with the ex, Eden knew, I knew nothing happened and it was honestly a non-issue,” she said.

However, she acknowledged the deeper issues at play – the hurt it caused Sara’s partner Tim.

“But in retrospect I can say that it was very hurtful for Tim to find out how he found out because lying about something makes someone feel like there’s something to hide,” she added.

Lauren shared the advice she gave Sara during the couple’s tumultuous time.

‘I told Sara you should just tell him who cares? And her concerns were that he had been cheated on in the past and it would make him think something was going on which wasn’t,’ she explained.

“So I can see both sides, but it was clearly hard to see how hurt Tim was on screen.”

Reflecting on the aftermath, Lauren noted: ‘And Sara and I have discussed this and she definitely knows now that what she did was wrong and it just created more problems than would have been created if she just told him the truth.’

The controversy flared up after Eden showed her partner Jayden the text messages between herself and Sara, revealing to her the meeting with her ex.

‘I have many opinions about this situation. However, I think Jayden saw the messages on the phone and pushed Eden to bring it up because Jayden and Tim are good friends and he felt Tim needed to know, but Eden was seriously worried about having to expose Sara ,’ she said.

Lauren also expressed her discomfort with how the situation was handled, especially by Eden, who was caught between a rock and a hard place.

“I really don’t feel like she really wanted to do it that way, and I think that’s what made her so anxious about the retreat,” Dunn said.

Despite the scandal, Lauren made it clear that her relationship with Eden remains intact.

“Eden and I definitely had a friendship and we continue to have a friendship,” she revealed.

‘It certainly didn’t destroy the friendship. I was just disappointed with how it turned out,’ she confirmed, showing support for her friend amid the backlash.’
