Former Married at First Sight girlfriend Tahnee Cook has shared heartbreaking details about her split from TV husband Ollie Skelton.
In December, Ollie and Tahnee, both 28, surprised their fans by ending their relationship after 16 months of dating.
The girlfriend told Nova’s Back to Reality Podcast that the former couple, who had moved in together, were forced to live together for six weeks after the breakup as a result of the current rental crisis.
“There was obviously a period of time where we had to live together while we were breaking up, which is hell, I would never recommend it to anyone. But you know, there’s a rental crisis, there’s a lot going on,” she told the presenters Taku Chimwaza and Selina Chhaur.
Tahnee further revealed that she was left “hurt” after finding some earrings that didn’t belong to her following the breakup.

‘I had returned from a work trip and was sort of cleaning the house. And I found a pair of earrings in the house that weren’t mine… obviously I confronted him about it,” she said.
“It’s hard when you break up, you assume people will move on at the pace they’re comfortable with. I think I was quite surprised at how soon it was.”
She added that she felt uncomfortable with the “random” return to her house.

‘I hate to say it, but we are in the public eye. I don’t know who these randoms are in my space. What if they are touching my things, taking photos. That’s the main problem I had because I’m quite protective of my house.’
Tahnee and Ollie, who first fell in love on the Channel Nine matchmaking show, announced their split on Instagram in December.
Surprising fans and friends alike, the couple said their “lives are taking us in different directions” but they wanted to remain “friends.”

Tahnee shared a lengthy post on her Instagram page, saying that she had “truly found love” with the voice actor, but it just wasn’t meant to be that way.
“Just as I share the highlights of my life here, it’s only fair for me to share when things aren’t always fun,” she wrote.
Unfortunately, Ollie and I have decided to separate. Our lives take us in different directions and we feel at this stage that it is the best decision for us.
Tahnee further revealed that she was left “hurt” after finding some earrings that didn’t belong to her following the breakup.
“From meeting as strangers who ‘married’ to genuinely finding love, I’m so proud of the time we’ve shared.”
Ollie also shared his own breakup message, confirming that the couple were indeed going their separate ways.
‘Tahnee and I have broken up. It’s sad, but it’s okay. What trip! A journey full of love, laughter, challenges and, in the last month, reflection,’ she wrote.
