Customers race to get a stylish new bag that is said to be a “trick” of the designer’s version.
This faux leather crossbody bag from Marks & Spencer has sold out in all UK stores after it was sold out Closely compared to the Celine Classic Box Bag – and just the budget bag I landed on the Australian website.
The M&S bag is $75.99 and the Celine bag is $5,900, but the two look almost identical.
Blogger Virginia Jenkins from Sydney was one of hundreds who endorsed the M&S bag by calling it “amazing” and pointing out the similarities.

Several videos have appeared on TikTok of women modeling an M&S bag in different outfits.
The bag itself is available in three different colors – camel, khaki, and white – and features an accordion-style design with two roomy compartments and an interior zip pocket for smaller items.
The front gold buckle, crossbody design, and faux leather material all look very similar to the Celine Deluxe Edition.

Designer Katie Beck, from the UK, also shared a video styling the “it” bag with a striped jumper, black pants, and matching loafers.
“Getting my hand on this bag has been the biggest hit of the season,” one person commented.
“Very elegant,” said another, and a third added, “I need this!”
The product is believed to have been first spotted on store shelves in September last year by UK radio presenter Melissa Riddell, who said it was an “incredible hoax”.
I was looking for a mattress but was clearly distracted. Doesn’t this bag look like a classic Celine bag? She said in a video, adding, “I can’t cope!”
But despite a similar determination, some customers weren’t convinced.
“Looks like it’ll scratch easily,” one wrote, and another added, “I’m not keen on it.”
Another said it looked “too small” to carry all his personal valuables.
