Singer Mariah the Scientist was arrested in Atlanta in connection with an altercation at a local bar.

The 26-year-old musician was booked Wednesday night after a woman claimed he assaulted her without explanation, according to a Fulton County police report obtained by TMZ.

The singer was arrested for assault, but posted bail and was released the same day.

On March 29, a woman named Cleopatra Dues visited Atlanta’s Zone 2 precinct and claimed that she had been attacked by Mariah the Scientist (real name: Mariah Buckles) the night before.

According to Dues, she had been at Atlanta bar and restaurant Cavo Kitchen and Cocktail when Mariah the Scientist allegedly grabbed her and proceeded to rip the wig off her head without any explanation.

She claims the singer then dragged her across the table to the floor.

The shocking attack allegedly left Dues with injuries to his lower body.

Dues says he left the bar, although it’s unclear how long he stayed there.

Once outside the area, he called 911 to report the attack.

The attack was captured on video by a bystander at the bar and obtained by the publication, but the poor lighting and grainy video quality make it difficult to determine whether the attacker is actually Mariah the Scientist.

The woman who appears to be the attacker appears wearing what appears to be a white hoodie in the video.

According to the police report, Dues wants to press charges against his attacker.

He is also looking for security camera images that the bar may have from March 28, which could clarify the identity of the attacker.

However, it is unclear how valid an ID for Dues would be, as she admitted she was not wearing glasses at the time of the incident and said she was unable to get a good look at the woman attacking her.

However, he later identified Mariah the Scientist as his alleged attacker.

According to Dues, she had no interaction with the singer or anyone who was supposedly with her that night, and claims to have no idea what led to the fight.

Video of the attack appears to have circulated on social media before Dues’ police report was released, and Staten Island rapper Cleotrapa was initially identified as the victim.

However, she appears to have been misidentified simply because her stage name was similar to Dues’s name.

“LMFAOOOOOO you guys don’t really know my resume,” Cleotrapa wrote on X (formerly Twitter) the night of the altercation, before Dues had even gone to the police station.

‘I will never be on camera fighting with anyone! Just record that. I’ve worked with too many brands to stop playing with my name.
