Margot Robbie has revealed she thought she would be arrested after “punching” Leonardo DiCaprio while auditioning for The Wolf of Wall Street.
The Australian star revealed that the two were supposed to be reading a kiss scene when she decided a slap would be more dramatic.
DiCaprio’s last line was: “Come here and kiss me.”
“And in my head I thought, ‘I could totally kiss Leonardo DiCaprio. “That would be incredible,” he recalled during an episode of the series. Talking Images Podcast. “I can’t wait to tell all my friends about this.”
‘And then I thought… no. And I just punched him in the face,” Robbie said.
“And there was a dead silence that seemed like an eternity, but it was probably three seconds,” said the actress, who was 22 years old at the time.

And then they started laughing. Leo and Marty were laughing so hard they said, “That was great.”
Margot admitted that she was worried that she would be ‘arrested’ and that her career would be over after the off-script move.
“I thought, ‘They’re going to arrest you, I’m pretty sure that’s assault, battery,'” she thought at the time.
‘Not only will you never work again, but you’ll go to jail for this, you idiot. And besides, why did you have to try so hard? You could have made it lighter.
It comes after the stunning actress revealed she couldn’t resist giving the film star a lesson on all things Ramsay Street.
The blonde bombshell said: “When I started on (The) Wolf (of Wall Street), Leo and Martin Scorsese had heard about Neighbors and knew what it was, but they hadn’t seen any episodes.
“So he went on YouTube and watched some clips.”
