A fan who attended the game between Grand Canyon and Alabama in the second round of March Madness has been accused of ruining the exciting finale of the contest by yelling so loudly that even television microphones picked up the screams.

In a clip shared by Awful Anusing on Monday, just 24 hours after the two teams faced off, the Grand Canyon fan can be heard on TBS at the end of the second half while sitting next to one of the channels’ microphones.

He screamed for eight seconds after the Grand Canyon Antelopes cut the deficit to one point with just under seven minutes left on the game clock.

NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson later reacted to the yelling by sharing on X: ‘Fun games! But someone please control the screaming Grand Canyon fan. In a separate tweet, he later added: “I can only imagine how he reacted the first time he saw the REAL GRAND CANYON.”

CBS Sports’ Mike McClure wrote, “I don’t know what’s more chaotic: the gameplay in Alabama vs. Grand Canyon, or the GCU fan screaming and sounding like she’s controlling one of the cameras.” #MarchMadness.’

Grand Canyon fans showed up in droves for Sunday night’s game in Spokane, Washington.

Action Network’s X user ‘Stuckey’ said: ‘This Grand Canyon screaming fan has to go.’

There’s little that can be done in this particular situation other than cutting the sound completely, but TBS was never going to do that, given that it’s March Madness.

Alabama will face No. 1 seed North Carolina in the Sweet 16 on Thursday in Los Angeles after narrowly defeating Grand Canyon, 72-51.

Mark Sears scored 26 points, a season-high 12 rebounds and six assists to lead the Crimson Tide in scoring Sunday night in Spokane, Washington.

Rylan Griffen added 13 points, including the last 10 of the game to hold off a Lopes attack.

Tyon Grant-Foster recorded 29 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots for 12th-seeded Grand Canyon (30-5), which was a porous 2-of-20 from 3-point range.
