A stunned wife has gone viral after sharing the brutally honest letter she received from her husband.
The woman, a perfume and beauty influencer named Joy, posted the letter on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “Ladies… choose for yourself.” I woke up to this nonsense after almost 11 years of marriage.’
The letter, which has been viewed 20 million times online, said: “I have to present my truth.”
He continued: “I hate to do it this way, but it’s now or never because what I’m going to say needs to be said.”
While many would assume that the man, named Fred, was about to deliver heartbreaking news to his longtime wife, it turns out that the letter was actually a tongue-in-cheek joke.

The letter, which has been viewed 20 million times online, said: “I have to present my truth.”
In the next paragraph, Fred goes on to say that he plans to watch the New York Knicks play and doesn’t want to be disturbed while the game is in progress.
“That means that from 7 p.m. until whatever time the game ends I will not be a husband or father,” he wrote.
You will be alone for a couple of hours.
‘No, I won’t watch our shows with you. No, I won’t bring you something sweet. I won’t take the dog out.
He added: “I’ll sit on my couch, drink in hand, and watch the game.”
Fred also gave his young son permission to stay up late with him, but only to watch the game.
‘I hope to see you and talk to you later. AFTER the game, of course,” he concluded.
After sharing the letter online, Joy wrote: “I won’t even lie…it made me nervous at first, then I laughed so hard…this made my morning.”
While many would assume that Fred was about to deliver heartbreaking news to his former wife, it turns out that the letter was actually a tongue-in-cheek joke.
People in the comments were equally delighted with the letter, with one writing: “Not gonna lie, I did NOT expect him to put me through the first half.”
“Congratulations to you both for having a fun marriage and messing with each other.”
Another commented: ‘That brother lives in his truth. Do you see how they treat us when we are honest and vulnerable?
A third added: “You can tell this family is full of love and banter.” I’m crying.’
