A man was stabbed at a Bunnings store in Bundamba, Queensland

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed in a Bunnings car park.

The robbery took place at around 4.10pm on Friday at the Bundamba store near Ipswich in Queensland.

The man, believed to be 37, suffered stab wounds to his arm and abdomen before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.

He is known to have been involved in an altercation with a group of men in the car park who fled the scene in a dark-coloured 4×4.

Police are investigating the incident and whether a screwdriver or small knife was used in the attack.

The victim has not yet been able to be reached as she recovers at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
