Christopher Prestipino (photo) is accused of murdering 24-year-old Esmeralda Gonzalez
A man from Las Vegas pleaded not guilty of killing a 24-year-old model whose body was found in a 250-liter water tank covered with concrete and wood.
Christopher Prestipino, 45, was charged last week for murder, first-degree abduction resulting in personal injury and conspiracy to commit murder.
Authorities accuse him of killing Esmeralda Gonzalez after being reported missing by her family on May 31.
He is being held without bail in Clark County detention center.
Prestipino's roommate, 39-year-old Cassandra Garrett, and his 31-year-old girlfriend Lisa Mort have also been charged with the crime.
Garret is faced with the same charges as Prestipino, while Mort received one count from housing, hiding, or helping a criminal.
Garret is detained in Wisconsin, where she was arrested last month and awaits extradition for Nevada.
The Las Vegas Review Journal report that the court claims documents that Prestipino and Garrett have killed Gonzalez, & # 39; with a toxic substance and / or by strangulation & # 39 ;.
In a Las Vegas court on Tuesday, the murder detective Tate Sanborn of the Metropolitan Police Department described the structure in which Gonzalez was found among major jurors.
He said: & # 39; The top was chopped off, the contents were filled with concrete and then a wooden structure that was built around it and then cast over it to fill the void around the wood. & # 39;

& # 39; Unfortunately it ended up upside down, so its weight … upside down the wooden structure of both sides and the extra concrete type crumbled. & # 39;
Gonzalez's body, found in a desert north of Las Vegas, was wrapped in blankets with white tape around the head and neck.
She was stopped by ropes and adjustable straps, detectives said.
Authorities first identified Gonzalez with jewelry found on site, including a Chanel necklace and a Rolex watch, similar to those in her photos on social media.
Gonzalez, who worked in the adult entertainment industry and had more than 300,000 followers, was last seen on May 31.
Security video showed that she was trying to open a door in a house on the 9000 block of West Torino Avenue, less than two tenths of a mile from the house of Prestipino.
Jury members were shown a photo of Prestipino's room, which contained a dance pole by the bed and studio lights by the window.
Prosecutors say that Gonzalez may have been tied up in the bedroom before she was killed.

Authorities identified Prestipino as a suspect after a number of tips said he was involved in the disappearance.
A tipster said: & # 39; He killed the missing girl. & # 39;
Another said: & # 39; Esmeralda was at Christopher's house, and he got her high on methamphetamine. Christopher was unaware of Esmeralda's mental problems, and she began to behave bizarre and speak into the devil's tongue. & # 39;
Gonzalez's brother says his sister was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disease.
Authorities believe that Prestipino has tied Gonzalez in bed for a long time before she was killed.

Allegedly she threatened to call the police on Prestipino for the medication he had given her.
He loosened Gonzalez and she slapped him in the face, which supposedly strangled Prestipino.
& # 39; He thought she was dead, but she woke up & # 39 ;, says a legal document.
Bill Terry, Prestipino's lawyer, said his client was not a flight risk and Prestipino was arrested last month after returning from a short vacation.
However, Pamela Weckerly, chief prosecutor, said that Prestipino might have plans to travel to China before his arrest.
He reportedly returned from Belize after telling Mort that & # 39; if everything is cool & # 39; he would come for her.
