A man from Kentucky who was shot when he came home from the hospital after seeing the birth of his twins died of his injuries.
Tyrese Garvin, 20, was present when his children were born last Sunday at the University Hospital in Louisville.
But the tragedy struck hours later. As he walked home, the proud father was shot in what, according to the police, was a random shooting.

Garvin was taken back to the exact same hospital where his twins were born, where he spent several days in intensive care.
He was treated for multiple gunshot wounds in his body and head, but there was little that could be done to help him.
& # 39; He was very excited to be a father, and to make something like that happen and his children will never get to know him, which is sad. & # 39; Kathleen Roberts, told Garvin's grandmother WLKY.
& # 39; He didn't deserve to be shot like he did. He will never be able to see his children and they will never get to know their father. & # 39;

& # 39; It's just a heavy impact for me because I know I'll never see him walk through that door again and don't make me crazy anymore, but this is just so pointless & # 39 ;, Roberts said.
In a heartbreaking moment, the family brought his newborn twins, a boy and a girl, to visit him before their father was taken out of living.
The twins were born prematurely and remained at the University of Louisville Hospital.
Louisville Metro Police has arrested three young people between the ages of 14 and 17 in connection with the shooting. Their names have not been released.
The incident is part of a peak in shootings in the city that left 12 dead and more injured this month.
At a press conference on Thursday, Lieutenant-Lieutenant Emily McKinley mentioned Garvin & # 39; s shooting when she said the city had experienced a recent peak in passing weeks and related car thefts committed by teenagers in recent weeks. Courier Journal reported.
Garvin & # 39; s family made one GoFundMe page to help pay for his medical bills and, now, his funeral expenses.
