This year, in which Australians have witnessed wildfires, floods and an ongoing global pandemic, is described as the most disappointing and daunting year of our generation – as is the beefless dish this mother served.
“This is legitimately the best thing ever. Thank you very much for the smile, ”replied one woman.
‘Looks delicious. I think it’s time for a glass of wine, “said another.
A third added, “This is a bit like my husband making apple crumble without crumble.”
Others quickly shared their own cooking sins, which mainly consisted of forgetting to turn on the oven or stove in the first place.

“I remember years ago when people were visiting and I didn’t know them very well, but I decided to make lasagna and salad because we had five children and four adults,” said another.

“Reminds me of the time I made Italian bread in my bread maker. I spent 30 minutes chopping herbs and garlic, adding the ingredients and waiting. The bread would have been delicious if I had added the water – I had hot, spiced flour, ”said a third.
