The reality star welcomed another daughter in January 2022, but split from the baby’s father, Jared, shortly after her birth.

Malin also lost her father to cancer, struggled with eating disorders, lost friends to suicide, and survived domestic violence.

Sharing a lengthy message, Malin admitted that “alcohol was the friend that kept the pain away” but she didn’t realize she was in “denial” about her alcohol and drug problem.

After reaching a truly “low” point, Malin became “afraid” that she would “commit suicide” after drinking and mixing if she did not get help.

She wrote: “Day 1 of rehab. The background in a photo. It hurts my heart to see her. I felt nervous posting this, but it’s the truth – and I realize maybe it can help someone else.

“I’ve been going around a drunken merry-go-round for a long time. It was my secret elixir for domestic violence, rape, heartbreak, and eating disorders.

“It was my friend who kept my pain at bay…for now. But what I didn’t realize was that I was refusing to go along for the ride.

“Round and round in viscous cycles…it started with ‘I’m just having one drink’ and ended with a frenzy…to repeat. Why wasn’t I aware of the pattern I was in? Maybe I was.

Sharing a lengthy message, Malin admitted that ‘alcohol was the friend that kept the pain away’, but she didn’t realize she was in ‘denial’ until she was ‘afraid’ of ‘killing herself “.

“Maybe I didn’t want to break free because I knew what was going to happen…the truth. The truth of the need to heal. Heal the empty hole that was only getting bigger with alcohol.

“You always have to hit rock bottom. I was afraid of killing myself the next day after drinking and mixing. I couldn’t live like that anymore – feeling so depressed – I kept creating more pain and prolonging the natural healing of all the wounds.

The ITV2 star told fans everything will be fine as she is proof you can come out the other side as she is “still standing” and “evolved through the pain”.

She continued: “You can get off the ride at any time you want. You hold the power to welcome happiness and abundance into your life.

“Alcohol robs you of yourself… it pulls you into the deep end, so you struggle, but you still have your head above water, so you think everything is fine. You’re not not.

“You can experience a state of happiness with clarity in your head and trauma that needs to be examined.

“You will begin to level the two parts of your brain and unite your subconscious and conscious mind in harmony to reframe your belief system. You can’t do that with alcohol. It keeps you in the fog.

“True happiness comes when we become aware of what no longer works for our soul.

“You must carefully examine EVERY dark aspect of your being so that you can wake up and NEED NOTHING to alter your state of mind or attach anything or anyone.
