ABC 774 Melbourne has announced a major restructure of its on-air talent for 2025.
Media veteran Brigitte Duclos has been moved to the afternoons role currently held by Trevor Chappell.
Taking up the role in the new year, this will be the 60-year-old’s first high-profile gig at the ABC after 30 years in commercial radio, including roles on Triple M, Mix and Gold.
Duclos also worked on television as a presenter on Channel Siete and Channel 10.
Meanwhile, Chappell, 63, was moved to Overnight, which he originally hosted for twenty years between 2003 and 2023.
The show is currently hosted by Michael Pavlich and Rod Quinn.

It comes after radio presenter Sammy J (pictured) announced earlier this month he was leaving ABC Radio Melbourne after five years.
Funny Charlie Pickering will also be part of ABC 774 Melbourne’s new programming next year.
The comedian will launch as a new weekly one-hour comedy and music show on Fridays, called Thank God It’s Friday.
Additionally, the shake-up will see new schedules for Jacinta Parsons and Brian Nankervis, who will present Saturday morning shows.
Nankervis will take over Alice Zaslavsky’s breakfast show, while Parsons will host Victorian Saturday Mornings in 2025, following current host Matt Preston’s decision to step down.
comes after rRadio presenter Sammy J announced earlier this month he was leaving ABC Radio Melbourne after five years.
Sammy J, who has hosted the ABC Radio Melbourne Breakfast show since before the pandemic, said he is leaving the show with ‘pride’ and gratitude.
“Hosting Melbourne Breakfast was an unexpected opportunity that turned into an unexpected joy,” said Sammy J, whose real name is Samuel Jonathan McMillan.

“But radio demands all of them and deserves nothing less, and after five years I’m ready to trade in the 4:15 a.m. alarm for more regular hours.”
“I leave with pride, gratitude and a litany of money-for-comments scandals that will be revealed in due time.”
Shelley Hadfield, acting director of ABC Radio Melbourne, said Sammy J has had a huge impact on audiences.
“Sammy has raised the questions we never knew we wanted to answer,” Ms Hadfield said.
“He has questioned the Prime Minister and Prime Minister, broke the news to Melbourne of the Queen’s death and interviewed musicians, magicians, meat workers and mathematicians.”
“But it’s Sammy’s connection with the audience that has been a hallmark of his time at 774. You only had to watch listeners show up at dawn for his outside broadcasts to understand the impact he’s had on people’s lives. “.
Sammy J’s last broadcast will be on December 13 and further announcements about ABC Radio Melbourne’s 2025 lineup are expected over the next week.
Sammy’s departure comes just months after the radio host took an X-rated swipe at KIIS FM’s Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson after they lost in the Melbourne market in August.
The radio duo came fifth in this month’s poll, while Sammy J saw a ratings boost for his ABC breakfast show.
Earlier this month, the national broadcaster announced the new ABC Melbourne 774 breakfast team would consist of former AFL Western Bulldogs coach Robert Murphy and former Seven reporter Sharnelle Vella.
