She shared the post in a thread titled, wedding drama.
It was titled: “Being expelled from the wedding party.”
She explained: ‘Five days before the wedding, they kicked me out for being a bridesmaid. I have known the bride and the bridal party for over 30 years.
‘I literally still have no words, especially after I flew from the US to Australia and bought all the bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses and evening bags. And since then I haven’t heard from them again. It’s been more than a week.
“I returned to the United States, gathered all my receipts along with a letter requesting payment for everything I bought for a wedding I was not invited to, and mailed it.”
The woman detailed the rest of the situation in the comments section of the post.
And he added: ‘Well, I arrived at my destination after a 30-hour flight including stopovers and connections. Day one: I was close to the bride-to-be. Day Two: I relaxed at my hotel and visited one of my friends, she and I did something by the pool and then I went to see the bride-to-be and the bridesmaid who arrived.
‘Day three: I was with the bride and the bridesmaid and later that day I was with the other bridesmaid. So now the four of us are together, catching up. I was excited because I hadn’t seen them in years, everything was fine.’
The anonymous woman took to Reddit to reveal that she was ecstatic when her 30-year-old friend asked her to be her maid of honor.
However, their fun-filled trip went south as the days went by.
‘Day four: we were together all day and did things. Day Five: We had a funeral for a friend we all grew up with and after that I caught up with friends we went to high school with for a late lunch and after all that I went back to the bride-to-be’s house. before calling it a night and returning to my hotel.
‘Day Six: The four ladies go out together and try on the final dress, and so on. I finished the night and returned to my hotel. Day Seven: We didn’t really have any plans as the four of us women were doing something, so obviously lunch wasn’t going to happen as one of the women was hungover anyway, so I went ahead and did my own thing on my own and I did some things. Shopping and went to see all the Australian animals to take photos and hold them as it would have been pretty much the only day I had any time to myself and to do things.
“Well, I guess it was the wrong thing to do and it seemed like I was supposed to stay at the bride-to-be’s house or have permission to do something, I mean, we’re 40,” he noted.
His adventure ended up being a serious mistake.
Due to her departure, the girlfriend abandoned her and told her to fly back to the United States, ending their friendship.
He added: ‘In the end, he replaced me with the person he always mentioned. I’m still so dumbfounded about why they did this to me.
‘I’ve been with her and the others since I arrived and have had little or no sleep, I’m still trying to adjust to being international, but apparently I’ve been doing it wrong. I don’t understand it.’
People online flooded the comments section and criticized the bride-to-be for her behavior.

Another user commented: ‘She needs to refund you the money you spent on dresses and alterations. She should refund you everything and you may not have traveled that far as a regular guest.
“This woman is not your friend, kicking you out of the wedding party when you traveled internationally is a friendship-ending event.”
