MAFS Jesse Burford: Kyle Sandilands unleashes on ‘flop’ David Campbell

Kyle Sandilands has reignited his feud with David Campbell after the Today Extra host came under fire for his confrontational interview with a MAFS star on Thursday.

The Channel Nine presenter drew the ire of viewers when he tried to blame Jesse Burford for his wife Claire Nomarha cheating on him with co-star Adam Seed, smugly suggesting he should have treated her better earlier in the season.

Kyle, who has hated David for years, said Friday that the divisive segment was just another example of him being a “failure” who “never has anyone’s back.”

The KIIS FM host was stunned by David’s aggressive line of questioning given that Jesse is a “nice guy” with a lot of public support, and suggested that he was blindly siding with the woman in order to appear “aroused”.

His co-host, Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, agreed that the left-leaning morning TV host had acted like a “smug jerk” during the interview with Jesse.

After listening to the audio of the Today Extra segment, Kyle blurted out, ‘This is David Campbell.

‘David Campbell reads a headline somewhere, thinks it’s 100% true, doesn’t investigate and forms a very stupid and immature opinion because that’s what that kind of person does.

‘So (he) runs around trying to protect everyone with no real details. The guy is a failure. I have never liked him. I like Sylvia (Jeffreys, her co-host) but I can’t see her because he makes me physically sick looking at her.

“This is his way of encouraging himself to become an awakened hero, and no one likes that.”

KIIS FM newscaster Brooklyn Ross said that David should have known before attacking Jesse like he did, noting that MAFS is heavily edited and filmed months ago.

Jackie also wondered if he had bothered to watch the show after the first few episodes, since Jesse’s performance had improved significantly in recent weeks.

‘Why are you attacking this guy?’ she asked.

“I feel like you’ve seen the early episodes but you haven’t seen the recent ones. She thought she was doing what the public wanted by attacking Jesse and not realizing, “Dude, this is not the way to go.”

“It’s out of date,” Kyle replied.

‘This is what David Campbell does. This guy doesn’t actually have his own opinion of him; he always does what he thinks people would like, but he really has no personality.’

Married At First Sight star Jesse Burford took on additional today host David Campbell during an awkward live interview on Thursday.

The marriage celebrant was questioned about his role in the cheating scandal involving his ‘wife’ Claire Nomarhas and boyfriend Adam Seed.

A heated argument ensued when David suggested that Jesse bore some responsibility for Claire’s infidelity after she kissed Adam on the show last week, citing his “picky” and dismissive behavior at the beginning of the experiment.

Jesse, speaking via video link from Perth, accused the Channel Nine presenter of holding a grudge against him, noting that David had previously called him a “walking red flag” and even rolled his eyes when his name was mentioned in the air.

Their tense confrontation began with David smugly commenting, “Where do you think your responsibility lies (in the matter)?”

‘My responsibility lies… I’m sorry, what was that question? Where is my responsibility when my wife kisses another guy? she said in disbelief.

David got defensive, telling Jesse that he was merely giving his interpretation of the events as they were being aired on the show.

He said, ‘Let me put it this way, we saw you on the show give your “gross” list, shut up (Claire), ignore her, then when she goes and kisses someone else, you get all ready and say, “Hey hey hey!” Where is your responsibility?

Jesse rolled his eyes and replied, ‘David, David, David… You make me laugh, dude!

“I’ve seen interviews he’s done with Claire and Janelle (Han, Adam’s wife) calling me a ‘walking red flag’ and mocking and rolling their eyes when my name comes up.”

David acknowledged that this was true, but refused to back down; then, he invited Jesse to tell his side of the story about his negative portrayal at the beginning of the season.

‘Let me tell you about “the disgust”. I’m glad you gave me the opportunity (to respond). That was something the show really overplayed. I don’t care if Claire likes zodiac signs or crystals. Good for her!’ he said.

“I’m not going to completely write her off as a person because she’s into something that I’m not.”

He then explained the ‘silence’ thing, saying that he only told Claire to shut up because she was causing a scene at the airport on the way to her honeymoon and other passengers were starting to notice.

“I wasn’t rude, I was actually very nice about it, I just woke up his conscience and said, ‘We should use our inner voice.’ And all of a sudden I’m this fucking misogynist and I shut up all the women. It’s ridiculous, man,” he said. .

After Jesse said his part, David told him that he was glad to have him on Today Extra so he could tell his side of the story.

I appreciate you being here, really. I want to tell you, Jesse. Because while I’ve said those things about you, that’s what we’re seeing on the show, I’m not the only person who feels that,” he said.

‘So I appreciate you being here and out front. How do you feel about being portrayed (in MAFS)?’

Jesse said that he felt his editing in the first week of the experiment was unfair, revealing that there were many good moments between him and Claire on their honeymoon that weren’t shown, as well as moments where she disrespected him.

They also talked about Wednesday night’s dinner, which documented the fallout from Claire and Adam’s cheating scandal.

‘I just wanted to go home. She had said everything she wanted to say,’ she said.

Jesse described the atmosphere while filming the dinner as “not very good” and said he didn’t want to get “swept away” by the drama.

Contrary to how the situation played out on TV, Jesse said that Adam showed some remorse for his actions, but had trouble “articulating an apology.”

Her confession left Jesse heartbroken and on the verge of giving up on the experiment.

Viewers criticized Claire’s behavior, calling her “deceitful” and dishonest because she had previously denied the accusation and said that Jesse was just “jealous”.
