A body was found in an abandoned car near Mackay Harbor in Queensland.
Officers are currently investigating a Landcruiser that was found on a now closed portion of East Point Drive at 1:15 pm on Saturday.
Inside the vehicle, police found a bag with what is believed to be the body inside.
Emergency services responded to reports of a body inside the car and officers are now investigating how it got there.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said few details were currently available and a crime scene had been declared.
Forensic detectives are also on scene.
