A van fire has caused chaos for rush-hour commuters in a major Sydney tunnel, with motorists urged to avoid the area.
Sydney’s M4 and M8 motorways and the Rozelle junction were closed on Thursday morning in St Peters due to a van fire in the M8 tunnel.
According to Live Traffic Sydney, highway crews, emergency services, New South Wales Transport and a tow truck are attending the scene.
The M8 Mwy, including the M4/M8 Mwy and Rozelle junction, are closed due to a van fire in the M8 tunnel. Avoid the area, use an alternative route and allow additional travel time.
