Millie Court has shared her painful encounter with a jellyfish during her holiday trip to Australia with her boyfriend Liam Reardon.
The Love Island star, 28, was stung after being hit by a large wave while swimming, despite warning signs on the beach warning swimmers to “beware of botflies”.
Posting on her Instagram stories, Millie revealed how the incident unfolded, writing: “I went into the sea and a huge wave swept me away.” When I came up, I found a blue jellyfish wrapped around my neck, in my hair, with tentacles all over my stomach. I had never screamed so loud.
Millie admitted the incident was partly her fault for ignoring warnings, adding: “It’s my own fault.”
He also shared images of a rash caused by the bite, showing his arm covered in red marks.
The lifeguards advised him to take a hot shower and provided him with ice to relieve the pain, telling him that the itching would go away within an hour.

Millie explained why she and others still ventured into the water: ‘And before you say ‘why the hell would you jump into the sea then?’, there are so many people there who didn’t bat an eyelid either and the lifeguards don’t tell you not to go in, so we thought, ‘damn, it’ll be fine.”
The TV star is currently spending Christmas and New Year in Sydney with Liam and her best friend Chloe Burrows, who also appeared on the reality dating show.
Despite the painful incident, Millie appeared to be in good spirits on her festive getaway as she got her pulse racing when she showed off her incredible figure in a series of busty bikinis just days before.
Millie looked sensational as she donned a duo of different two-piece bikinis for an Amazon advert on her Instagram page on Friday.
First she posed up a storm in a skimpy lilac ensemble, which featured a bow at the front of her bikini top and thong-style bottoms.
The blonde beauty added a white crochet mini skirt as she joked around in front of the camera.
Millie wore her long tresses in voluminous springy curls and opted for a glamorous makeup palette to enhance her natural beauty.
She accessorized it with a delicate gold padlock necklace and an array of dazzling jewellery, including a £4,200 Van Cleef bracelet.

Millie and Liam (pictured) won the seventh series of Love Island in 2021 and dated for a year before briefly splitting in July 2022. They have since reconciled and have gone from strength to strength.
Millie’s best friend Chloe Burrows, who also appeared on the reality dating show, is also in Australia with the couple over the festive period.
She also flaunted her slender figure in a dark coral bikini with ruffled edges, with the addition of a matching mesh sarong.

And in June, Millie openly “hinted” that she’s ready for Liam to pop the question and has already “shown” him the style of engagement ring she’d like.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, he said: “He’s the one in control of proposing and I gave him a little hint and showed him a ring I’d like.”
“Not that that means he’s going to do it anytime soon, but I figured he knows better now, so when he decides to do it, in the future, he’ll know which ring I like.”
Earlier in the week, Millie set pulses racing as she showed off her incredible figure in a series of busty bikinis.

“He also knows what I would like as far as a proposal, where I would be and stuff.”
Millie went on to say that the couple has been much happier in their relationship since they “went long distance.”
She said: “It’s amazing, he lives in Wales now and I live in Essex so we’re working long distance but it’s actually working out really well.”
“We’ve managed to get that time together where I’m going to Wales for a week, he’s coming to Essex, and it’s almost like it’s working because the time we’re apart we can spend with work and just focus.” from this.
“So when we’re together, we really take care of our relationship and spend quality time together.”
The reality star admitted the couple “struggled” to balance relationship and fame after first leaving Love Island, but despite splitting for a short period of time, they “always knew they wanted to be together.”
Speaking as the face of VO5’s Summer Festival Edit, Millie told MailOnline: “I think we’ve gotten used to life the way it is now.

“I think like a lot of couples, coming off the show, it’s a struggle to navigate this new life, as well as navigate a relationship.
“So spending that time apart meant we were able to really embrace this new lifestyle and everything that comes with it.
“Then when we got back together it was like we had gotten used to it and were in a much more comfortable position with life and career and it meant we could fully focus on our relationship.”
“We always wanted to be together, we knew it, the moment was difficult and this time it is much better.”
