And Francesca Allen put on a quintessentially chic show on Friday in a figure-hugging floral dress as she braved the rain for Ladies’ Day at Surrey’s Epsom Downs Racecourse.

The former Love Islander, 25, didn’t let the gloomy weather dampen her mood as she protected her monochromatic dress with an umbrella at the affluent venue, along with her boyfriend Maria Wild.

Francesca made the bold decision to wear sandal heels in the midst of the downpour and cloudy sky.

The reality star tucked her brunette locks back into a stylish low ponytail and frames her face with her curled bangs and soft makeup look.

Meanwhile, her friend radiated femininity in a floral midi dress, complete with a pleated skirt.

Thousands of women brought the sun in their prettiest summer dresses and elaborate hats as they descended the racecourse to kick off the weekend with a day of festivities.

A lot of were seen early in the festive spirit, with glasses of Pimms and mini bottles of Moët Champagne flowing.

Women in pastel dresses and statement jumpsuits arrived by the dozen for the event – a mainstay in Britain’s racing and social calendar.

Elaborate headwear was the order of the day for many, with oversized hats and flamboyant fascinators adorned with feathers, flowers and fringes in the fencing.

This year’s The Style Awards is open to both men and women, seeking out the best-dressed riders on the course.

Grand prizes include a year’s supply of dresses from Chi Chi London, a year’s supply of shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt, Jeroboam from Moët & Chandon and an exclusive Jessica Rea headpiece, plus personalized styling advice.

Unsurprisingly, race-goers wanted to pull out all the stops when it came to their looks, pushing the boundaries with outfits that were both creative and elegant.
