Love Island star Amy Hart opens up about how cruel trolls send her messages

Love Island star Amy Hart has opened up about how cruel trolls send her “discourteous” messages about her weight after the birth of her son Stanley.

The TV personality, 31, has been candid about how her body has changed in the year since she and fiancé Sam Ranson welcomed their first child.

But despite advocating for body confidence, Amy said she had been trolled online for her weight gain, with one person calling her “disgustingly ugly”.

Speaking to Closer, Amy said: “Being in the public eye is lucky and I and others are trying to lead the way when it comes to body confidence, but I still get unkind messages.”

She added: “I got a message the other day saying, ‘Hey Amy, you’re absolutely devastatingly ugly and you need to fix it.’

The reality star revealed that people will argue in the comments sections of her posts about her weight.

She said some people will leave nasty messages about how she is now unrecognizable and others will jump to her defense claiming she has had a baby.

But Amy said that doesn’t end the argument, as trolls will criticize that having been a mother is not an excuse for gaining weight.

Amy said that after giving birth she felt insecure, because she was trying to dress the way she had before and it didn’t work.

Once Amy found a style that worked with her new body, particularly baggy pants, a bodysuit and a jacket, she said she began to love her curves and appreciate her body more because it created her son.

While she tries to ignore online trolls, Amy admitted that she occasionally responds and puts them in their place.

His tactic, he revealed, is to take the person’s name and find them on Facebook, at which point he said they will likely have shared a post reminding others to “be kind.”

Amy then takes a screenshot of said post and sends it back to the troll, asking, “Is that you?”

The podcaster also revealed that she would love to have four children – three boys and a girl – but she doesn’t know if that will be possible.

She froze her eggs in 2019 after doctors warned her that early menopause was hereditary, however she conceived Stanley naturally.

The reality star, who welcomed Stanley in March last year, detailed how she and Sam are going to “try for a second baby” after their wedding in September.

The couple is busy planning a four-day musical theater themed wedding in Spain.

Amy has already chosen her dress and is currently organizing the big day with her wedding planner, who has been pressuring her to make decisions about the event.

Amy previously told Heat Magazine: ‘So, it’s a four-day wedding, of course. The First Dance is not a song written for a musical, but it has been in a musical, and one of my friends who has just left the West End production of Hamilton is singing it.

‘At one point, he wasn’t sure about coming to the wedding, because he has another friend who is getting married on the same day.

‘But listen to this: both of our weddings are in Spain, just 35 minutes from each other. He’ll go to his ceremony and drinks, and then to ours for food and the first dance. It’s destiny.’

She also chose her dress after her stylish Jeff asked her to try on a dress that she “would never have looked at herself” and that she “ended up loving.”
