Other decorations included a poster condemning Americans for occupying “native land” and another that read “F*** the police.”

In addition to an anti-police poster, an anti-American poster shows Christopher Columbus and the US as ties to the Ku Klux Klan.

Another wall features a Black Lives Matter flag, a Palestinian flag, and a “modern PRIDE” and transgender flag.

An American flag was seen draped over furniture in the corner according to the New York Post.

One poster reads ‘F*** Amerikkka, This is Native Land’, while the anti-police poster goes into detail about the attitude.

“Police are a violent, anti-black settler institution that originated as slave patrols,” the poster reads.

Their primary mandate is to protect property and enforce white supremacist capitalism militarily. They do their job for which they are trained and paid. You can’t fix what isn’t broken. That is why we are fighting for the abolition of police and prisons. F*** the police.’

Some on social media are calling for the teacher who put up the flags and posters to be fired, while some simply believed the symbols were just part of a lesson.

A statement from the school took a more cautious approach regarding the purpose of the display, explaining that the paraphernalia has since been removed from the walls.

“Any screenings determined to be overtly and objectively political or otherwise contrary to our policies of inclusion and respectful treatment of others will be removed and administratively handled,” a statement from LAUSD said.

Yet not every subjective belief that a particular image is ‘political’ can be accommodated in a neighborhood as large and diverse as LA Unified.

The district did not comment on who had put up the posters or whether any action would be taken against that person.

Earlier this week, a Portland high school teacher removed the American flag from her classroom, saying it represented “violence, threat and intolerance” in protest of a new ban on Black Lives Matter and Pride symbols.

The Newberg School Board recently introduced a ban banning “political” symbols in classrooms, passed by the board to prevent staff from using Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ+ symbols such as pride flags in classrooms.

In response to the new resolution, Gail Grobey removed the American flag from her classroom at Newberg High School “because it’s the most political symbol there is,” he said. The Newberg Image.

‘That symbol no longer stands for freedom or justice or equality. It stands for violence and threat and intolerance, and I don’t fly that into my room.’

Two other California teachers have been granted administrative leave and will be fired after displaying controversial flags in their classrooms.

Kristin Pitzen, of Orange County’s Newport Mesa School District, caused a stir when she posted a now-deleted TikTok video claiming that the American flag made her “uncomfortable” and made her students say their pledge of allegiance to the gay pride flag .

Meanwhile, Gabriel Gipe of Inderkum High School in Sacramento faced complaints from parents when a student reported that the Antifa flag and the Chinese Communist Party poster he hung in his classroom made them uncomfortable.

Both teachers have since been fired as a result.
