On Monday afternoon, officers released CCTV photos of a woman they think could help you with questions.
She is supposed to be between her late 30s and early 40s, with a slim build and brown curly hair.
The images show the woman dressed in a cream-colored sweater over a yellow shirt and a & # 39; muscle & # 39; printed tights under blue shorts.
Members of the public who have seen Lucy's theft or have information about her disappearance are urged to contact the police.
The 59-year-old pet owner told Daily Mail Australia that he had just gone to the opposite bathroom and when he returned, his pet had disappeared.
& # 39; I don't want to file a complaint against the person who stole Lucy. I just want her back. & # 39;

The homeless man has become a local identity in the city with countless people on their way to work to stop stroking the rat while sitting on its milk box.
& # 39; Almost every day since I started my work in the city, Chris and his pet rat Lucy have been in the same place, Chris with passersby and Lucy who likes to chew, sleep and watch, & # 39; said a troubled person in a Facebook post.
& # 39; They are a hallmark of Sydney's city life and I have always smiled when I see them and I was glad they had each other. & # 39;
Another person said: & I have passed him so many times that he has always been so kind that my son is always surprised that he has a pet jet that is not trying to run away. & # 39;
A few had donated the rat to Chris when the rodent was only four weeks old.
& # 39; She was family. I leaned over and said: & # 39; How are you? & # 39; and she would get up on her hind legs and give me a kiss.

& # 39; She only bit me once, but that was because I fed pigeons from my hand and I rubbed my mouth and she thought there was food on my lips or something, & # 39; he laughed.
While lettuce and corn were the pet's favorite foods, Chris admitted that Lucy had her weaknesses.
& # 39; She loved pies. I would also let her drink a bit of coke mixed with water or coffee as a treat. & # 39;
And just as the locals shared in the good times, there were also different downtimes.
Only six weeks ago a tumor was removed from the rat, although luckily the pet recovered completely.
And now news about the alleged theft has left many broken hearts behind.
& # 39; I was genuinely troubled to come by today and see Chris without Lucy and before him telling me that a heartless person had taken her on Saturday & # 39 ;, said a person on Facebook.
Another person commented: & # 39; Taking the beloved pet from a homeless person, seriously, what a very low deed. & # 39;
Chris & # 39; plea for help has been shared with Facebook and a message has been shared nearly 10,000 times in a desperate bid to locate the rat

& # 39; I don't know why this had to happen to me, & # 39; Chris said.
& # 39; I have done nothing wrong to earn this – I have been brought up to respect people. & # 39;
He said that the disappearance had made him sad and he wondered if he was the culprit.
& # 39; Every day of this week, I thought I'd have to wait a while before going to the bathroom. But I always go to the bathroom and she is always there when I get back. I'm afraid if I leave here, she will come back and I won't be there. & # 39;
