Willy Wonka’s disastrous experience in Glasgow made national headlines and was the subject of true-crime documentaries.

But that didn’t stop a French Mediterranean restaurant in London from transforming into a magical chocolate paradise to celebrate Easter.

Inspired by the timeless tale of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Bagatelle promises to transport guests to a world of pure imagination, wonder and delight.

Taking place from Sunday March 31 to Sunday April 7, ‘Bagatelle & the Chocolate Factory’ will see the Mayfair restaurant become a vibrant scene, complete with oversized treats and fanciful decorations.

Attendees are encouraged to don their most imaginative costumes inspired by beloved film characters, from Willy Wonka himself to Oompa Loompas.

There will be limited edition dishes created just for the occasion, including an irresistible assortment of chocolate treats and sweet cocktails.

Chef Rocco Seminara recreated his own Wonka’s chocolate bar for the occasion.

Taking guests back to their childhood, the chocolate bar uses fresh flavors and popping candies inside, creating a fun and playful mouthfeel.

Each evening, the restaurant will distribute five chocolate bars inspired by Wonka, for the chance to win the “golden ticket”.

The mystery prize will offer guests a chance to win a dinner for four with a special bottle per ticket.

Let’s hope this chocolate wonderland will be better than the disastrous ‘Willy Wonka experiment’ in Glasgow which made headlines last month, for all the wrong reasons.

Attendees, including tiny, excited children, were promised “a universe where your dreams come true” but found themselves in a dreary gray room, half-filled with plastic mushrooms and computer-generated posters. AI.

Angry parents branded the £35-a-ticket event an “absolute disaster” after being promised “memories that will last a lifetime”.

However, despite the event being a car crash, the 16-year-old viral star of the doomed experiment has landed a new role in the London Dungeon, after a botched AI script meant she was chosen to play an evil, invented chocolate factory.

Felicia Dawkins captivated the internet when she was revealed as the face of The Unknown, an evil chocolatier rival to Willy Wonka living within the walls, who scared children at the Wonka event in Glasgow.

Felicia said it “totally changed my life” and helped her realize her “dream” of working with the London Dungeon.
