A man in his 30s died in a suspected tubing accident at a popular lake.

The man, who has not yet been publicly identified, was reportedly being towed in a tube behind a speedboat at Logue Brook Dam, near Yarloop, 125 kilometers south of Perth, on Saturday afternoon when fell and disappeared.

A search by police and an RAC rescue helicopter failed to find the man before nightfall.

However, specialized police officers and Department of Transport boats resumed the search on Sunday.

The man, who has not yet been publicly identified, was reportedly being towed in a tube behind a speedboat at Logue Brook Dam (pictured), near Yarloop, 125 kilometers south of Perth, the Saturday afternoon when he fell and disappeared.

Police said the man’s family had been informed and a report would be prepared for the coroner.

Logue Brook Dam has a campsite and is a popular spot for water skiing, windsurfing, sailing and fishing.
