A TikToker is going viral for a video lamenting that liberal men don’t meet its dating standards.
Posted last week, the staple comes from TikTok user @ms_petch – a Los Angeles-based brunette who regularly posts about her unhappy love life.
A self-proclaimed “liberal,” her posts often prove polarizing and regularly show a fondness for progressive men.
His most recent feat – posted to 35,200 subscribers last Thursday – was little different, but served as a slight deviation from the rest of his online oeuvre.
In it, she wondered why she couldn’t find a leftist man who exuded some degree of masculinity. Attributing certain characteristics to a traditional, masculine man, she quickly added another prerequisite – someone “who is not conservative”.

Calling it “one of the saddest accomplishments” she has ever had. TikTok user @ms_petch complained last Thursday that liberal men aren’t masculine enough for her – and asked why she couldn’t find a more traditional partner who was “not conservative”.

An LA-based brunette who regularly posts about her ill-fated love life, TikTok user @ms_petch went on to attribute some traditional characteristics to her so-called prefect, before toying with the political precondition
“As a liberal woman, it’s really hard to find a man who’s willing to play the more traditional male role in today’s relationship and who isn’t conservative,” TikToker says of what she perceives as the optimal man.
“Obviously, as a liberal woman,” she continues, touting her leftist status a second time, “I want to be respected for my independence, and I want to have my own autonomy in the relationship and not be conformed to the woman traditional home, childbearing role.
She then adds – in what she labeled “one of [her] saddest accomplishments’ – ‘Abd nost of the men I’ve dated who have this more natural provider masculinity about them, are, normally, conservative.’
The content creator goes on to attribute certain characteristics to what she considers a perfect man – thinking about how to combine it with the aforementioned political condition while not causing him to lose, as she put it, “the morals and values”.
“A man who wants to pay on the first date, who wants to open your door, who wants and wants to take care of you and provide.”
She then specifies, a second time: “Who is not conservative.
Wondering why she can’t find a more masculine and traditional man without compromising
As she spoke, text appeared at the top of the video asking subscribers if she was asking too much with her demands – as she spoke of a desire to be ‘equal’ with a potential partner who always provides her .
‘Am I asking too much here?!?!’ read the chyron. “To be somewhat equal while having a man provide and take care of me to some degree?”
Another complaint caption aired a critique of some of the lackluster liberal men she presumably met: “All these men here who want to split the bill. ON THE FIRST DATE!!!! Whaaaaaaat.’
She again laments how her search for a strong-willed leftist has so far failed – before asking if she’s being unreasonable.
“I don’t really know what to do, because I don’t want to compromise my morals and values just to find a man.”
“Do I ask to have my cake and eat it too?

“As a liberal woman, it’s really hard to find a man who’s willing to play the more traditional male role in today’s relationship and who isn’t conservative,” TikToker says of what she perceives as the optimal man

“Obviously, as a liberal woman,” she continues, touting her leftist status a second time, “I want to be respected for my independence, and I want to have my own autonomy in the relationship and not be conformed to the woman in the traditional home, role of procreation’

Some commenters supported TikToker’s analysis – while others called it out for what they called a double standard
The clip then cut out, but has since been viewed over a quarter of a million times.
