Leicester City are looking to add to their roster on the final day of the transfer window as they are reportedly getting ‘closer’ to a deal to sign RB Leipzig winger Ademola Lookman.

The 23-year-old spent last season with relegated Fulham, making 35 appearances, scoring four goals.

Lookman is struggling to get playing time in Leipzig and only has until 11pm to complete a return to the Premier League.

Sky Sports has reported that the Foxes and Bundesliga side are closing a deal as time is running out.

It is said that the two clubs have yet to agree on a fee for Lookman, but talks are looking more positive after the sides have been some distance apart over an appreciation for the player.

The Bundesliga side are now ready to learn their demands, which could help Leicester secure the transfer.

Brendan Rodgers wants to bring in another winger by the end of the transfer window.

If they don’t get Lookman, there’s a possibility they could make a late move elsewhere.

The Foxes manager has also taken into account Luis Diaz of Porto and Ajax star David Neres during the window.

Lookman initially joined RB Leipzig on an impressive loan spell for the second half of Everton’s 2017-18 season.

He later signed for the Bundesliga in the summer of 2019, but would make just 13 appearances that following season.

The Foxes could also see an outbound deal on the day of the transfer deadline, with Dennis Praet joining Turin on a permanent transfer of £12.8million.
