Left-wing host of The Young Turks called out for pushing back on ‘trans friendly’ language

Date:

One of The Young Turks hosts faced intense outrage from an aroused crowd, which included some of her own loyal supporters, after criticizing a series of “trans-friendly” vocabulary.

Left-wing commentator Ana Kasparian tweeted that she finds certain trans-inclusive ways of addressing ‘women’, such as people with a womb and those giving birth, demeaning.

But Kasparian later found herself heavily criticized by the awakened online mob, calling her transphobic and transexclusive for her mere opinions.

Earlier this week, the social commentator wrote: ‘I am a woman. Please never refer to me as a person with a uterus, a person giving birth, or a person who menstruates. How come people don’t realize how demeaning this is?

“You can support the transgender community without doing this shit.”

Kasparian’s tweet, posted just before 2:30 p.m. on March 22, has been viewed on the social media app more than 20 million times.

A transgender journalist and MSNBC contributor called Kasparian and told her to “monitor” her tweets.

A person who identifies as a transgender youth psychiatrist also mentioned the tweet.

‘Who called you that? I have only heard it used to refer to a population, not an individual person,” wrote Jack Turban.

“Obviously those terms are meant to be precise to include all people who meet one of those characteristics, when they need to discuss a relevant topic,” Turban tweeted.

Mike Figueredo, who calls himself ‘The Humanist Report’ on Twitter, said in a tweet that he believes Kasparian is playing on anti-trans rhetoric.

“I respect you very much, but this notion that the mere existence of trans-inclusive terms (which are rarely used in casual conversation) somehow degrades women comes straight from the anti-trans playbook of the ‘war on women’. women’ of the right,” Figueredo tweeted.

“There’s a reason you get praised for this,” he continued.

One Twitter user blamed

One Twitter user blamed “the right” for creating the divide between transgender and cis women, saying they are the ones who want to “label people based on their genitalia.”

Among those who “praised” Kasparian was former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, who tweeted her support for the host’s remarks.

“A broken watch…” Lake wrote in response to The Young Turks host’s tweet.

However, Kasparian did not appear to want Lake’s endorsement, responding, “I think you are an embarrassment to this country and a full-fledged lunatic.”

British rapper Zuby joined in, saying: “Your side is going to roast you now.” I hope you are prepared for tolerance.

Kasparian also responded to that tweet, saying, “They have a right to speak, just like I do.”

“A sensible, conventional take… that is going to absolutely unleash the s**t on Very Online progressives,” journalist Brad Polumbo responded in a tweet.

‘Your comment section has become a madhouse. Some people just can’t accept their comments,” said Ian Miles Cheong.

The backlash comes just weeks after Kasparian sat down with right-wing podcast host Ben Shapiro to discuss some of the country’s biggest issues.

“I get a lot of flak for saying this: I want a real solution,” Kasparian said while speaking with right-wing podcast host Ben Shapiro about the homeless crisis in Los Angeles.

At one point, Kasparian called out left-wing politics in Los Angeles regarding the city’s homelessness crisis.

‘The approach we have implemented is clearly not working; more people are dying,’ Kasparian said.

“I get a lot of flak for saying this: I want a real solution,” the presenter continued.

“It is unbelievably cruel to watch people die on our streets and then pat yourself on the back because you think you did something compassionate. That’s not compassionate,’ Kasparian continued.

After the meeting in which the pair discussed a myriad of topics, Kasparian received backlash for “platforming” Shapiro, with whom he vehemently disagrees.

She defended herself by saying that Shapiro’s audience did not seem to have a problem with her speaking to him and that the problem seemed one-sided.
