“It was just a little touch, but the offense did what it was supposed to do.” Roberts told reporters after practice“You’re always supposed to protect your quarterback. “It’s good, especially when you have so many new players,” TJ Watt told reporters about the fight“You’re trying to understand who everyone is and being able to see the guys wanting to run towards the fight and not run away from it is incredible.”
The fields have been receiving First team representatives Most recently with the Steelers, Russell Wilson sat out training camp with calf soreness for a day at the start of camp. But Fields has been getting reps over Wilson in some instances since his return.
Wilson’s injury may have opened the door for Fields, as Adam Schefter reported Wednesday that the Steelers have been impressed with Fields’ progress.
“Believe Russell Wilson “He’s still in pole position, but I also think Justin Fields has opened some eyes and they see the type of offense they could have,” Schefter said on ESPN“And we know what this team has thought about Justin Fields in the past. And he’s gotten better every day in practice, as I’ve been told.”
