Larry Emdur of the Morning Show proves he is one of Channel Seven’s most valuable assets – with a reported pay package.

According to New Idea magazine, the affable TV personality, 56, has negotiated a seven-figure contract for himself with the network after replacing Andrew O’Keefe as host of The Chase earlier this year.

“Between The Morning Show and The Chase, Emdur is now on the big bucks,” an insider told the publication on Monday.

‘After negotiating rounds, he is sitting very nicely. He effectively saved the network’s most successful game show – so he’s worth every penny!’

The publication reported that Seven bosses are even considering Emdur as a future addition to their flagship breakfast program Sunrise, which is currently headed by David ‘Kochie’ Koch and Natalie Barr.

Emdur signed in February to take over from O’Keefe after Seven refused to renew the latter’s contract due to his legal issues.

O’Keefe recently dropped the assault charge against him on mental health grounds.

According to legal proceedings, the former host reportedly had a manic episode when he punched an ex-partner who claims he brought an ice pipe to a party.

Emdur’s first episode of The Chase aired Monday night during Seven’s coverage of the Olympics.

Ahead of his big debut, Emdur said in a press release: “I’m thrilled to be the new host of The Chase and can’t wait to see the look on my mom’s face when she hears me say all those big words.” . ‘

“I’m looking forward to starting the Olympics on Monday. Mind you, any of the Chasers will be happy to tell you that this show IS the Olympics of quizzes,” he joked.
