Channel Seven star Larry Emdur has given his opinion on the current scandal engulfing the network, ahead of an appearance at Sunday’s Logie Awards.
This week, ABC’s Four Corners exposed allegations of sexism, misogyny and harassment that the show said were “widespread” across the network.
Talking with The Daily TelegraphLarry, 59, said while there was always room for improvement, he was still “proud” to work at Seven.
“I know there is a focus on a small minority of people who do the wrong thing,” he said.
“Obviously, we need to improve in some areas and, more importantly, the network is taking steps to address that,” the veteran TV star added.
‘After all these years, I still feel incredibly proud to work at Seven amongst so many talented production people and journalists who are truly passionate about what they do.’
Larry added that conversations about workplace culture were necessary across all industries and that at the heart of it all was the need for people to be “decent human beings.”
“People need to feel safe, well and happy at work,” he said.

Speaking to the Daily Mail Australia, Larry spoke about his unorthodox campaign to win the Gold Logie this year.
“We’ve had a lot of fun and that’s been part of it. When Seven told me about the nomination, I said we’re not going to do that ‘vote for me’ nonsense. We’ll only do it if we’re having fun and having fun.”
