Kyle Sandilands reveals if he would ever return to TV and the shocking amount of money he was offered to be cast on I’m a Celebrity… Get me out of here!

Kyle Sandilands has focused on cultivating an incredibly successful radio career for the past two decades.

And while he has appeared on TV shows several times over the years, the shock jock revealed whether he would ever return to the small screen in the latest episode of Samantha Armytage’s podcast, Something to talk about.

On the eve of his 50th birthday, he said he doesn’t get a ‘sensation’ from TV like he does from radio.

“It’s live, it’s happening, once you’ve said it, it’s done. No one else can get rid of it.’

He explained that TV opportunities – with shows like Australian Idol and X-Factor – were exciting, but pointed out that the TV production process frustrated him.

“It was fun, Idol was fun, X-Factor was fun. All those shows, but it takes forever (to film). An hour of Idol, it takes four days of non-stop filming,” he said.

“And then someone else decides what’s funny. That’s what I didn’t like, that someone was editing. I’d look and I’m like “oh, I said something I thought was better, but someone else edited it,” he added.

Not really! Kyle went on to reveal that he had been asked to participate in Channel Ten's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! but said it was something he would 'never do'. He recalled a phone call to one of the show's producers and said, 'They offered me $1.4 million to go to the jungle and I said no'

He continued, “I’ll give you a million dollars, I said no,” leaving Samantha shocked at the offer.

“They offered me $1.4 million to go to the jungle and I said no, and then they gave Warnie (Shane Warne) $2 million and I was like, ‘oh well, f*** you forever,'” he added.

“They offered me a million for three weeks of work. But there’s no way I’m going to do that. I’d rather not,” he said of the offer to join I’m A Celebrity.

The shock jock added that he also chose to decline the offer because he was doing radio research and didn’t want to fly “all the way” to Africa.
