Anthony Sampieri, 56, beat and raped a seven-year-old girl for 40 minutes
A pedophile who bound and raped a seven-year-old girl in a dance studio in Sydney has been sentenced to life imprisonment.
Anthony Sampieri, 56, grabbed the girl and slapped her face before dragging her to the Knifepoint in November 2018 in a toilet cabin.
He wrapped a cord around her neck and raped her for 40 minutes while filming his attack before being attacked by a mechanic and taken out by a dentist.
At the time of the rape, Sampieri was conditionally released from prison for raping a 60-year-old woman in her Wollongong house in 2012.
During his conviction today, where families were being sobbed, the court heard that Sampieri was being held by mechanic Nicola Gilio and covered in blood when the police arrived.
The rapist then said to officers: “I hurried up and he came in, hit me and stole my meth.”
In the months before the shocking attack, he made about 100 explicit sexual calls to various women, including a 71-year-old community choir treasurer, a chaplain, and 20 brokers.
The police believe that the calls have not been properly investigated. Senior agent Andrew Bruce, 32, has argued that he is not guilty of his duties and will appear in court in April.
His is suspended on full pay and denies any misconduct.
Sampieri pleaded guilty in June last year of 10 charges related to the attack in the dance hall, including three counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 10 years of age.
He also admitted that he had charges of sexually explicit and intimidating phone calls he had made with women in recent months.
The rapist was to be imprisoned in December, but his conviction was delayed because he was diagnosed with fatal liver cancer and needed treatment.
In an earlier appearance at the court, Sampieri admitted that he had repeatedly injected ice into nearby public toilets before the attack.
He said he was in a state of sexual excitement by the time he was in the dance studio facilities, he would have attacked everyone who had come in.
Last week Sampieri – called the “monster of Kogarah” – was provoked by members of the public as he entered a packed courtroom.
“There he is, the little piece,” said a person.

Sampieri then took the position where he told the court that he was “so sorry” for what he did.
“I thought about it for a moment … I feel very, very bad for what I did,” he said.
“With the help of crystal meth, I believe that led to what I did. I am sorry to have abandoned you by using crystal meth. “
He had notes in his house that said “don’t look at hardcore pornography” and “don’t do drugs,” the court was told.
He said that ice use and deviant behavior went ‘hand in hand’.
In lawsuits it says that the girl had just finished her jazz ballet lesson when she was attacked by Sampieri.
The girl had waited with her mother in the parking garage until her sister’s class was ready when she returned to use the bathroom.
When she entered the female bathroom, she was confronted with Sampieri, who was in the bathroom watching porn for the past hour.
Sampieri admitted the rape and seven other offenses during the attack. Pictured: the scene
He grabbed her and pushed her into a cupboard, but she resisted.
He then slapped the seven-year-old in the face before locking the door.
Sampieri threatened her with a knife, tied a string around her neck and dragged her to the male toilets.
“She felt she couldn’t breathe,” the facts explained.
He grabbed hold of the cord and then subjected her to sexual acts before he stuffed toilet paper into her mouth, bound her hands, and left the bathroom.
Diesel mechanic Nick Gilio was with the girl’s mother when they saw someone standing in a closet in the men’s room during their frantic search.
Sampieri walked out of the bathroom and was asked if he had seen the girl.
After she said he hadn’t done it, the girl’s mother went to the bathroom to examine it. She was then followed by both men.
Her gruesome screams echoed through the building while she was reunited with her daughter.
Mr. Gilio grabbed Sampieri and hit his head against the wall.
After struggling with Sampieri, Mr. Gilio suffered major wounds, but the rapist stuck in a blockage before dentist Jeffrey Stack came in and knocked Sampieri out.
Dance teacher and local dentist, Jeffrey Stack rushed to the bathroom after hearing the screams.
He noticed that Sampieri was trying to free himself from the main slot by biting Mr. Gilio.
Mr Stack then hit Sampieri hard in the face and knocked him out.
Hell-diesel mechanic Nicola Gilio (pictured on a stretcher) found the girl and fought Sampieri in the bathroom, sustaining several wounds in the melee
Gilio told the court in November that he still had flashbacks of the attack and became pessimistic about the world because of the actions of Sampieri.
The rapist later told the police that he had been ‘so high’ for the attack due to the use of methamphetamine earlier that day.
The police later discovered the calls he had made to women from August 2018.
A chaplain, a 71-year-old community choir treasurer, an 18-year-old ice creamery and 20 brokers were among the 91 victims of Sampieri’s sexually explicit cold calls.
Sampieri pleaded guilty to 10 charges related to the attack, including three intercourse charges with a child under the age of 10, each with a maximum life sentence.
He also pleaded seven charges against sexually explicit and intimidating phone calls he made to women in the months before the dance studio attack.
He told the court last week that he does not believe that his advanced liver cancer can be cured.
