Netflix managed to push buttons after infuriating viewers and fans with a steamy clip from its new series Supersex on Thursday.

The streaming service posted a scene from the Italian series on Instagram that lasted only a few seconds, but that was enough for users in the comments to complain about the exaggerated sexual content.

The short video showed the show’s star, Italian actor Alessandro Borghi, kissing and shoving several scantily clad women.

However, the clip disappeared from Netflix US’s Instagram account after a few hours, although it is unclear if the platform removed it amid user complaints or if Netflix chose to remove it due to negative comments from fans.

The controversial new series, which has already outraged some Netflix subscribers, is a biographical drama based on the life of famous Italian adult actor Rocco Siffredi, 59.

Commenters criticized both Netflix, for releasing Supersex, and Instagram, for allowing the clip to be published.

Borghi was photographed shirtless, but wearing pants, sitting on a red couch while a scantily clad woman straddled his lap and kissed him passionately.

At least four other women surrounded the couple at their side and leaned down to kiss Borghi or caress the woman on top of him.

Although Borghi and the woman on top of him were jumping up and down, it was unclear that the two were supposed to be having sex, and all of the characters appeared to be clothed, although barely.

‘Now we also have porn on Netflix? Canceling account as we speak, my kids can’t see this,’ wrote one furious user.

‘Are we just making porn popular now?’ the user wrote. “It’s pretty disgusting that there is no warning about explicit content like this.”

They also complained that women who post breastfeeding photos or videos are often flagged, even though such content is technically acceptable under Instagram rules.

“You are detracting from any quality program you have,” they added.

“Umm…just opened Instagram,” one person wrote, echoing a popular complaint.

‘What the hell. Isn’t this inappropriate for a platform where KIDS FOLLOW YOU? another person wrote.

Some commenters even come up with strange and far-fetched scenarios to explain why they found the clip so offensive.

“Imagine being a former p*rn addict for a few years on and off and then you open Instagram and see this,” one user complained. ‘It can definitely trigger something in the back of your mind to just go look for a bit and then go back to where you were. thanks to “netflix & chill” here.’

Many pointed the finger at Instagram for allowing the content, and several angry users also complained that their posts lamenting the death toll in Israel’s attacks on Palestine were censored, but Netflix’s obscene post was not.

‘Make IG better; “Not everyone wants to see this, it should be subject to the same rules as genocide, posting with a warning and the option to watch it anyway,” one commenter added.

Some criticized Netflix for canceling shows they liked in favor of one they assumed they wouldn’t enjoy.

“Everyone cancels great shows just to make crap like this,” one person wrote.

“Someone bans Netflix from using Instagram,” another user fumed.
