Kmart Australia has caused quite a stir with its latest tech gadget – a projector that hundreds of people say has taken home movie nights “to the next level”.
The device is one of the cheapest options on the market at $99, and according to reviews, it’s super quiet and super effective.
A woman’s positive review of the inexpensive device went viral on TikTok, prompting an online stock selloff.
“I was going to buy it on Amazon but I wanted it right away so I went to Kmart,” Elly Brown said.
Then she plugged it in and turned it on, even though it was light outside, and was delighted with the results.
He tried again in the evening and told his followers to go in and buy one as it exceeded their expectations.
He added that the projector was quite quiet, compared to others, and in our eyes it was a must.
The projector automatically changes the image depending on the projection angle so that it is always a “good image” and has its own speaker.
Young woman’s projector review sent people running to Kmart
She was impressed by how well it worked in a bright bedroom and delighted with how it worked at night.
“You can connect it to any speaker,” he added, for those who want higher sound quality.
You can connect to devices using Bluetooth and Chrome Cast for iPad and iPhone.
It also comes with built-in apps that can be used over Wi-Fi.
“It’s actually the best thing ever,” one woman commented.
He added that it can also be projected on the ceiling, after people complained that they had no free walls.
“Good to know: Others like this are $250,” one woman said.
Dozens of people revealed that the review made them want one of the projectors.
While others complained that the viral video had caused them to “burn out.”
“It’s so annoying that sales are sold out online and at my location,” one woman said.
“Great, you made it sell out,” said another.
“Argh I can’t find it and Kmart takes forever to restock,” a third added.
Home theater systems have been popular for a while: Last year, Big W’s inflatable outdoor theater system went viral and sold out in record time.
The movie sets came with an inflatable screen and cost $399.
