Spanish royalty joined other mothers and fathers who took their children to Santa Maria de los Rosales, in Madrid, after the summer holidays.
Princess Leonor, 12, and Princess Sofia, 11, seemed delighted to see their classmates and smiled as they climbed the steps of the school.

Meanwhile, the always elegant Queen Letizia, 45, looked elegant in a pair of white jeans and a mushroom-colored linen jacket for an informal family outing.
The couple looked perfectly relaxed while greeting a teacher at the entrance, while other parents seemed bewildered about the VIP drop.

In a statement, the Spanish palace said that Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia would travel to the United States to join the educational camp in an attempt to give them "new knowledge and experiences."
King Felipe and Letizia, who wish to complement the education of their daughters with broader influences from different cultures, remained in Madrid to continue their royal duties while the girls were abroad.
