Former Trump spokesman Kayleigh McEnany slammed an upcoming profile of press secretary Jen Psaki by photojournalist Annie Leibovitz, saying women in the Trump administration were not given the same treatment by the press.

Leibovitz, the acclaimed American portrait photographer, was spotted in the White House on Thursday.

It is believed she was there to snap photos of President Biden’s top spokesperson Psaki, as part of a profile likely to appear in an upcoming issue of Vogue.

Psaki’s predecessor, McEnany, who now works as a political commentator at Fox News, questioned Friday why she and other women in the Trump administration weren’t getting the same coverage.

“Instead of the glowing profiles, there were hit pieces repeatedly, over and over,” McEnany said during her performance on Friday’s edition of the afternoon talk show. in minority.

“It’s just so sad that you have such a fawning press, a fawning media that is sycophantic reporting on members of the Biden government,” McEnany said.

“They asked Jen Psaki about Joe Biden’s cat yesterday. I mean, it’s unbelievable how many questions they ask.

“We need investigative journalism. We don’t need any fawning cover.

“It doesn’t do the American people justice.”

McEnany said The New York Times sent photographers to Trump’s campaign headquarters to profile the women working to help the Republican get elected.

But she claims the newspaper refused to publish an article because “it wasn’t negative enough.”

“Aside from everything else, it’s rare to hear a woman brazenly and unconsciously talking about life with children and an intensive job,” Haberman tweeted.

“The kind of things that men don’t often think about, but women are expected to.”

McEnany responded to Haberman’s tweet by posting a photo of herself inside the White House pushing a stroller with her young daughter in it.

On Fox News on Friday, she told her fellow minority panelists that Haberman and other media figures declined to note that working mothers under then-President Trump were not named for experiencing similar challenges.

‘Sarah’ [Sanders] was a working mother. Stephanie Grisham was. So was I, and Morgan Ortagus was pregnant during her senior year at the State Department, but Maggie Haberman seemed to have forgotten that,” McEnany said.

Ortagus, who worked for Trump in the State Department, agreed with McEnany.

“I think maybe I’ve just come to accept that we’re not going to get the same kind of accolades,” Ortagus said on the show.

“Kayleigh, your daughter, one day, whether you were in Vogue or not, will be able to see these photos of you working in the White House, showing her around in her carriage.

‘And I think that’s worth more than twenty profiles.’

McEnany replied, “I had only one goal: to lift the forgotten men and women to the next level.

“And that’s a legacy I’m very proud of. No Vogue profile needed here.’
