AI-faked photos of Katy Perry and Rihanna have surfaced on social media, despite any real proof that they hit the red carpet.
Perry, 39, took the AI fakes in stride and posted two fake images of “her” on Instagram, along with a text message from her mother, who was one of many who were duped.
“I couldn’t go to the MET, I had to work,” Perry said in the caption of the post, sent to her 207 million followers.

“I’m waiting for you mom @katyperry 143,” he said in the tweet, with Perry’s final slide indicating that he’s working on new music.
The slide was a short video, showing her singing into a microphone, although the video was muted, which didn’t give fans what her new music might sound like, at least not yet.
One of the images showed Perry wearing a flowy floral dress that spread out around her with flowers adorning the dress.
Another showed her in a gold breastplate and a grassy floral skirt, sporting a wet look seemingly similar to Kim Kardashian’s in 2019.
Perry wasn’t the only celebrity spoofed, as images emerged showing Rihanna on the red carpet, even though she wasn’t there.
