She continued: ‘It was when two of my friends overdosed and ended up in a coma in hospital. We thought we were going to lose them and it was actually the scariest thing because we were all taking the same GHB drug, it was terrible.
“They are lucky to be alive and I asked myself what I am doing with my life.”
Kate revealed she is grateful to have been offered a radio presenting job in Birmingham in 2007, allowing her to escape London and the partying spree.
She continued: “I’m proud of myself for leaving London at 26 to go to Birmingham, my family were like ‘no, don’t go’, and selfishly they just wanted me to be around, but they didn’t know the extent of what was going on.” .’
The reality star added that she is so “glad” that social media didn’t exist during her partying days, as she admitted that she “would have been canceled a thousand times.”
Kate said: “I’m so glad social media didn’t exist because I would have been canceled a thousand times, I did so much shit.”

The couple welcomed their daughter Noa the previous year.
In the months before tying the knot in 2022, Kate revealed they were in the “worst possible place for a couple” as she detailed their relationship ahead of the wedding.
She admitted that she was “not prepared for the seismic change” in her relationship after the birth of her daughter Noa.
In 2021 she had her first daughter, Noa, after long insisting she never wanted to be a mother, while her partner of nine years, Martin, affectionately known as Boj, was “desperate” to have children.
Talking to Kate Thornton about her White Wine Question Time PodcastKate explained: ‘Since we became parents, our relationship has changed a lot. I want to say it’s better, but unfortunately we both know, and are very aware of it, that we haven’t prioritized our relationship at all and we know we need to take steps to improve it.

‘We are getting married in two months and, in fact, we have had the most difficult year as a couple so far.
“But we know it’s because we become parents and your life changes enormously when you become parents.”
She continued: ‘I wasn’t prepared for the seismic shift in our relationship. I thought it would change my life, me personally, but I didn’t think about how much it would affect us as a couple even though I had friends giving me advice saying “Look, you’re both going to say things you don’t say.” “I mean, you’re both going to be more tired than ever.”
The other night we went out for curry because I pointed out that since Noa was born a year ago, we’ve only gone out alone twice. It’s not good enough.’
