Graham Norton has praised Australian actress Nicole Kidman for always “making an effort” on her UK talk show.

And while the Irish comedian, 61, has interviewed celebrities from all corners of the world, he revealed to women’s day that Australians are always high on their favorites list.

“They’re never too old for it,” Graham told the publication.

He also singled out Moulin Rouge star Nicole Kidman, 57, for a special mention, saying that despite her enormous fame, she always brings her A-game when appearing on Graham’s show.

“Even someone like Nicole (Kidman), who’s been famous for so long, will still make an effort,” Graham said of the Australian star, who has appeared on The Graham Norton Show seven times.

He added that Nicole’s lack of Hollywood “distance” and diva-like demeanor had always impressed.

“She’s not going to sit there and say, ‘I’m Nicole Kidman, what more do you want?’ Because she could. But she tries, she’s still interested, she wants to hear the other guests’ stories.’

When pressed about the poor guest experience, Graham stayed tight-lipped, but revealed how to deal with a “boring” celebrity.

“I’m in a very lucky position because I’m never alone with them, I always have a couch,” he said.

“So even if you have a boring guest, the nice thing is that while they’re acting boring, it’s not just me and the audience thinking, ‘Jesus, shut up,’ but there are other people on the couch, too.”

“So if you pause to breathe, I’ll ask one of the most interesting people a little question.”

talking to news corporation In October, Graham revealed some of her most memorable talk show disasters and one celebrity who “wasn’t a great guest” was American actress Darryl Hannah, who had a reputation for being nervous on air.

“So she did our show and, bless her, she wasn’t a great guest,” he told the publication.

‘But what I loved was that when she got over it, she was high as a kite afterwards. He really felt like he had done something incredible.

“I was emotional for her because she had overcome this. Still it was a very poor show.”

Graham also admitted that a drunken appearance by actor Mickey Rourke was a “hard job” for the talk show host.

“Turns out I was there when he got out of the car and he was holding a bottle of Jack Daniels, which is already concerning,” she said.

“But then we realized the Jack Daniels bottle was half empty. It soon became very clear where Jack Daniels had gone. Those nights are pretty hard work where you’re just trying to hold together and get to the finish line.”

He also mentioned a 2012 appearance by pop icon Madonna, who seemed unimpressed when she was presented with two dolls in her image made by two die-hard fans in the audience.

“I saw them after the show and said, ‘Oh, I’m sorry I was a little rude to the dolls.'” But they couldn’t have been happier. Their diva had behaved exactly how they wanted her to!’
