Juventus labeled ‘shameless’ by Italian media after 4-0 Champions League defeat at Chelsea
Juventus are labeled ‘shameless and unwatchable’ by furious Italian media after being thrashed 4-0 by Chelsea, with newspapers claiming they ‘surrendered and got a football lesson’ at Stamford Bridge
The Italian media have failed to hold back their scathing criticism of Juventus after being pushed into the Champions League by Chelsea on Tuesday night.
The Blues took a 4-0 win at Stamford Bridge thanks to goals from Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Timo Werner – a result that saw them leapfrog their opponents to Group H with just one game left.
Juve were hugely disappointing and as such Italian news outlets have informed them of this, with Tuttosport labeling them ‘shameless’ and ‘unwatchable’.

They add that they “surrendered” in London and received a “football lesson” from Thomas Tuchel who “crushed” them.
Corriere dello Sport are equally hard. Juventus are Italy’s biggest club, but the publication labels them as ‘Little Juve’ after their humiliation.
They add that Chelsea ‘dominated’, but Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri is trying to make a positive out of the result by stating that they have ‘achieved their goal’ by qualifying for the last 16 of the competition.
Finally, La Gazzetta dello Sport claims the Bianconeri’s toothless display has made them push for a deal to sign Fiorentina’s highly regarded Dusan Vlahovic.
They say Juventus is “rushing to repair the damage by making a £42m bid for the striker in January”.
Juventus are second in Group H, level with Chelsea, twelve each after five games. However, they have the worst head-to-head record (winning 1-0 in Turin, before losing 4-0 in London), meaning they can only finish as group winners if Chelsea drop points at Zenit St Petersburg on December 8 and they beat Malmö at home.
